The weather conditions caused all of the scheduled 1stxv friendly games to be cancelled as well.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup Round 2 game Regent House School 2ndxv hosted Methodist College, Belfast 2ndxv in a game the Methodist College, Belfast team won by 65-0.

On Saturday 9th December the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Cup 2017/18 competition should have got underway when Wellington College, Belfast was scheduled to have hosted Belfast High School and Carrickfergus Grammar School was scheduled to have hosted Strabane Academy. These postponed Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Cup and Medallion Shield games will be played as soon as the weather conditions allow games to take place.
There was also a good list of 1stxv friendly games which should have been played on Saturday 9th December. Regrettably all these games were cancelled.
Irish Rugby Football Union Charitable Trust Week 2nd – 9th December 2017
The Irish Rugby Football Union Charitable Trust was formed in 1978 to assist severely injured rugby players in their everyday lives, and help to restore their confidence and independence.
All clubs and schools are encouraged to raise funds for the Trust by working on fund raising ventures during the week December 2nd-December 9th 2017. Schools in Ulster have supported this most worthwhile of causes most generously over a period of many years. It is hoped this support will continue this year and that even more money can be raised.
One of the targets for the Charitable Trust Committee is that all schools and clubs sign up to a direct debit as a “Friend” of the IRFU Charitable Trust.
