Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Round Up Saturday 2nd November 2013.

Due to the half term break, only a few school games were played on Saturday 2nd November.

Royal School, Dungannon V Portadown College with their 1st, 2nd and Medallion xv’s

Royal School, Dungannon played Portadown College with their 1st, 2nd and Medallion xv’s and recorded three victories in the course of the morning. The 1stxv won their game by 32-21. Nathan McCammond and Archie Hannah scored two tries each for the RS Dungannon team while Stuart Moore touched down once. Jack Milligan completed a fine personal performance with two conversions as well as a penalty.
The Royal School 2nd xv won their game by 38-5. The Dungannon tries were scored by Peter Doran and Ryan Moore, both of whom touched down twice, Adam Crooks and James McAdam. Adam Cranston converted four of the tries.
The Royal School, Dungannon Medallion xv recorded a close 21-14 win against the Portadown College counterparts. Andrew Irvine scored one try with Joseph Cashell scoring two. Aaron Perry was successful with his three conversion kicks.

Foyle and Londonderry College V Belfast Metropolitan College

Foyle and Londonderry College travelled with a weakened team to play the Belfast Metropolitan College team. The Foyle team eased their way to a fine 50-7 victory. The Foyle College team had taken a 31-7 lead by the interval with tries from team captain, Patrick Leeson, scrum half, Michael Rankin, 2nd Row, Kevin Callaghan and elusive centre, Mark Wilson. Alex McDonnell converted all four tries and added a penalty as well.
It was more of the same in the second half with the Foyle College team dominating proceedings. Full back, Robbie House, scored an unconverted try while winger, Stephen Kennedy, and scrum half, Michael Rankin, both scored tries which were converted by Alex McDonnell.

Sullivan Upper School mix of 1st, 2nd and 3rdxv V Portora Royal School

A weakened Sullivan Upper School mixture of 1st, 2nd and 3rdxv players travelled to play Portora Royal School in a game from which the Holywood team emerged as 38-6 winners. The Sullivan Upper team scored five tries through Mark Adair, Josh Davidson, Chris Jordan, Conor McAvoy and Zack Bertenshaw. Mark was successful with all five conversions and added a penalty kick as well.

Dalriada School V Ballymoney

Dalriada School played Cambridge House in a game which the Ballymoney boys won by 72-0.
